The chairperson Kamwenge district Boda boda
riders association Agaba Philip Mulumba has reacted to the president’s remarks
on measures to curb insecurity in the country.
Addressing the parliament recently
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni suggested a number of measures to curb the
increasing security in the country including stopping boda boda riders from
hooding themselves with jackets.
Among other measures suggested by the
president Museveni include introducing registered helmets and introducing
trucking devices into all vehicles.
Now Agaba Philip Murumba the chairperson
boda boda riders in Kamwenge district has criticized a ban on hooding
themselves with jackets saying the ban exposes their lives to danger. Mulumba
says the hooding protects them from wind related infections.
He however agrees with president Museveni’s
measure of introducing trucking devices in all vehicles across the country.
Mulumba says that it will curb massive killings among other insecurity in the
country.
