Teachers in lower primary are experiencing challenges on how to train young ones how to use latrine. In Uganda, the mandatory school going age is five years. However, most learners begin school as early as three years.
Now, a cross section of teachers in Kamwenge town are reported to be experiencing challenges on how to train young ones how to learn using a latrine.
Patrick Kisembo the Head teacher St Anthony Special Needs Boarding Primary School in Kamwenge town explains that parents need to inculcate moral values at atender age.
Mugwisagye Peter a teacher at Kamwenge Modern Primary School in Kamwenge town shares the same expeience with Kisembo. The two contend that, teachers in lower primary have a burden of teaching young learners basics which should be learnt at home.
