RWANDAN NATIONAL LYNCHED BY MOB IN KABALE DISTRICT|VOK NEWS

A Rwandan national was last night lynched by a mob in Kabale district. The deceased identified as, Charles Somalia, a resident of Rugoma village, Nyagatare district in Rwanda.

Somalia was lynched at Omukareere market in Maziba Sub County, Kabale district during a fight with a group of yet to be identified locals at a bar.  It is said that locals accused Somalia of snatching a woman from them. Details about the girl at the centre of the fight are still scanty.

Somalia had reportedly tried to run away but was overpowered and stoned to death, a few meters away from the bar.

Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate says that the body of the deceased has been taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem. Maate adds that police have launched a manhunt for all people who were involved in the fight.
