Kamwenge sub county council yesterday
passed the budget for the financial year 2018/19 worth 193 million shillings.
The budget which was presented by Dina
Mbabazi the vice chairperson LCIII Chairperson Kamwenge Sub County and the
secretary for finance saw works department taking a lion’s share of 36 million
shillings followed by health which took 22 million and education with 21
million.The least was natural resources which got 2.3 million shillings.
The same council, also approved 223 million
shillings budget for Kabuga town Council which is expected to begin operations
effective July 1st.Out of this amount over 100 million shillings
will be used as start up fund to construct administrative units in Kabuga town
Council.

Chairperson Kamwenge who presented both budgets before the council for approval
said they are expecting to get income from local revenues, road fund,
government grant, and donations.
Abasi Mutesasira Sunday the LCIII
Chairperson Kamwenge sub county asked councilors o be cooperative while
implementing the approved budgets for the tow administrative units for proper
service delivery.
