A
Bodaboda Cyclist identified as Musa Abbas has been charged for participating in
the kidnap and murder of Suzan Magara, a cashier who was killed by her captors
early this year.
Abbas joins a list of nine other suspects who were charged earlier for the same crime. The prosecution told Buganda Road Court that Abbas and others still at large, on February 7, 2018, kidnapped Susan Magara with intent to procure a ransom or benefit from her liberation from the danger of being murdered.
It is further alleged that the accused and others still at large on the February 27, while at Kigo in Wakiso district brutally murdered Susan Magara, hitherto a Cashier at Bwendero Dairy Farm.
Grade one Magistrate Robert Mukanza did not allow the suspect to plead to the charges, saying his court lacks jurisdiction over capital offences. He was remanded until June 28, 2018, when he will return for a mention of the case.
