The Chief Administrative Officer Kamwenge Edith
Mutabazi has assigned three senior assistant secretaries alias sub county
chiefs to act as town clerks for the newly established town councils in
Kamwenge district.
The town councils slated to become operational on 1st
July 2018 include; Kabujogera curved out of Kicheche Sub County in Kitagwenda,
Bigodi curved out of Busiriba Sub County and Kabuga curved out of Kamwenge Sub
County.
As plans are underway for the town councils to become
operational, Edith Mutabazi the Chief Administrative Officer Kamwenge has
assigned Mucunguzi Wilber as the acting town clerk for Kabuga, Mugume Ronald has
been assigned Bigodi while Abraham Kibwana will oversee Kabujogera.
Mutabazi says that the assigned officers will be care
taking the new town councils until the district service commission advertises
and recruits permanent staffs.
However, she says that the district is still
experiencing challenges of understaffing due to the newly created town
councils. She explains that the matter has already been addressed to the
Ministries of Finance and Local government for redress.
